What counts
A signed request that clears verification and reaches the policy engine. Allowed, throttled, modified, held for review, or denied by policy — the gate did the work, so it counted.
GateCore prices what the gateway actually does: verify, score, enforce, reserve, execute, settle. Every tier runs the same governance core — what changes is how many agents you run, how much you send through, and what you're accountable for.
Before any number means anything, the thing being counted has to be pinned down. A transaction is a single signed request that clears identity verification and reaches a policy decision — allow, throttle, modify, hold, or deny — through the gateway. That decision is the billable event, whichever way it goes.

Requests refused at signature, replay, freshness, or key lifecycle never reach policy and are never billed. Neither is a reservation released because execution failed. You don't pay for work that didn't happen, and you don't pay for requests the gate wouldn't even consider.
Monthly, in arrears, against the metered record — and the metered record is the same append-only signed ledger you can audit yourself. Monthly is the only cadence today; there is no annual plan. Billing is arranged with us directly, so there is no card checkout and no stored payment method on this site.
The counter resets on the first of the month. Every transaction on it has a signed receipt behind it, so an invoice is something you can check rather than something you have to accept.
The governance core is identical everywhere on this page — the same identity checks, the same policy engine, the same ledger, the same receipts. Tiers differ in scale, support, and who negotiates the terms.
Start with one agent and a spend cap. Point an agent at GateCore instead of calling your tools directly. Every request is signed, policy-checked, and metered before it runs — you set the limit, GateCore enforces it.
